"BEAR"

Our most magnificent and adored friend Bear passed away Monday, January 8, 2007.

Over 100 neighbors and friends attended a memorial for Bear on Sunday, January 14th to celebrate his life. Among attending guests were five Pyrenees, Bear's children, grandchildren, and other canine guests.

Bear was brave, intelligent, dignified, strong, gentle, patient and loving.

He will be remembered by neighbors standing watch on the deck of his home, running beside the bicycle or walking along the Strand in Hermosa Beach, and most recently riding in the bicycle driven chariot built for him when his heart could no longer sustain the long walks. He had and will be missed by his extensive human family and friends.

He is survived by his "mom" Mona De La Rosa of Santa Monica and "dad" Stephen Collett of Hermosa Beach. Bear leaves a legacy of six children and six grandchildren.

Bear remains our best friend and companion.

To the world he was one. To us he was the world.
